it doesn't even matter how hard you try

i just got back from seeing "proof" with lisa. jenn j. at work had some tickets for it that she was trying to get rid of. so lisa bought them and took me. i offered over and over to pay for my ticket... but she refused. when lisa refuses, she refuses. so i had a hot date with her, on her. we went to starbucks for coffee... and they forgot our order, so when they made it, they delivered it to us. what a nice guy that little coffee maker was. heh. we sat there and read our little newspapers. she read the boston phoenix and i read the weekly dig. it looked like it would be a good mag, but it really wasn't. we both ended up putting them back.

we ate at "california pizza kitchen" which was right next door. the food wasn't bad there, i guess. i don't know, there's something about that place that kinda sketches me out. i really don't know why... but it's just kinda weird. the food was pretty good, so i really shouldn't complain. we did pretty good not talking about work. go us.

the show itself was decent. i can tell you that i really wouldn't pick it out on my own at all, but i'm glad that i went to see it. i just like to see plays, i think. so lisa and i decided to go see a play every other month. it could work... i hope. maybe not. but at least we both want to try.

okay, so during this whole desire to go to shows, i decided to go ahead and buy tickets to see the graduate. i figure that i'll go with my mother. it can be for her birthday. she'll like it, i think. i mean, she really likes the story anyway, so seeing it on stage i think would just bring it to life. there's big stars in it... alicia silverstone, jason biggs, and kathleen turner. that's something that you have to see, ya know? it's playing at the colonial theatre. i'm pretty excited about going. it should be good.

i started reading part of your life as story which is a book for my online memoir class. it's pretty good so far. of course i only read a chapter and a half, but it has a nice flow to it, that makes it easy to read. i really can't wait for the class to begin. yippee!!

i really don't think that i have anything else to say. it's been kinda a lull day today. heh.
